Campus active-shooter policy just now distributed to Northern faculty
NMU's plan to cope with a school shooter is only now being widely disseminated to faculty and administrators, five months after the Virginia Tech shooting, which killed 32 students and faculty and injured dozens more.

The NMU JobSearch Center is holding the 2007 Fall Job Fair and Career Expo on Wednesday, Oct. 3 along with a Construction and Technology Job Fair on Thursday, Oct. 4.

Child prostitution is a problem that has run rampant in Cambodia, and to help curb this dilemma, a program run by a renowned human rights activist is taking children off the street and teaching them traditional Cambodian music.

NMU Weapons Policy
A university ordinance states that anything capable of firing a projectile is a gun and is illegal to possess on campus. This includes Airsoft guns, BB guns, Nerf guns, Paintball guns, squirt guns, rifles, handguns and bows and arrows. Internet a tool for students' study habits
A recent survey shows that students use the Internet for more than just Youtube and Facebook. The survey, released over the summer, found that college students use the Internet as a study tool, not a study distraction.
