I've often been told that a college experience isn't complete until you have lived in a dorm for a period of time. I was told you meet a lot of people and the style of community living mixed with independence is beneficial for a student to have. I was also made to believe dorms offer all of the amenities one could ask for: kitchenware, showers and laundry facilities.

On September 3, while the Republican National Convention (RNC) is under way in St. Paul, Rage Against the Machine will be performing one of their few shows this year at the Target Center.
Rage Against the Machine is well known for their aggressive rap/rock music and politically charged lyrics.

Of the summer music festivals in the United States, Lollapalooza is one of the most famous. With huge bands and an even bigger crowd, this year's festival built on previous years' success with yet another killer lineup.
The headlining bands, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Kanye West were perhaps the most attractive to ticket buyers since Radiohead and Rage have precious few tour dates.

ISU wide receiver Wallace Franklin has been suspended from the football team indefinitely.
Franklin was listed as a reserve on the Cyclones preseason depth chart but has not practiced this summer due to a suspension which stems from two arrests.
Tom Kroeschell, Iowa State's associate athletic director, said coach Gene Chizik was unavailable for comment but also mentioned that it was undetermined whether Franklin would return to the team.
